Pirate Chatbot in the Works
We're on a mission to train 100,000 category designers, and we want to make diving into key concepts as easy as possible. So, weâre creating a Category Pirates AI chatbot đ¤ to help you find exactly what you need, when you need it. Think of it as your personal pirate-y guide through our treasure trove of mini-books, books, podcasts, and more.
Strategy Therapy Mini-Course
We heard you when you said navigating a category business strategy can feel like walking into a reality game show after a late night at the local watering hole. Itâs a complex, competition-focused game where you fight for budget. And too often, you end up with a strategy that wonât help you become the Category King.
Thatâs why weâve put together something specialâa mini-book and course designed to be brutally honest and get you on a path to designing and dominating a category.
Strategy Therapy is a self-paced mini-course that will teach you the fundamentals of creating an honest, bold strategy using category design principles.
The Strategy Therapy course will launch on April 15th, 2024, so keep an eye out for our email announcement. Although the training is asynchronous, seats are limited since we will be hosting a live monthly workshop with all students. Here, youâll get a chance to ask questions and jam on your strategy with us Pirates.

Think of it as the practical, tactical side of personal category design.
Thereâs so much more to learn, discover, and category design together.
Letâs keep the conversation going (let us know what youâre looking forward to in a comment below!) so we can make 2024 a year to remember.
Hereâs to creating, innovating, and, most importantly, having fun while weâre at it.

Looks like you guys are falling into a "hype trap" of cajoling consumers or B2B customers into your value proposition. Maybe you need to back off a bit. Reformulate according to your category design. Hey, I get it. We all have our priorities. Family, career aspirations, corporate hierarchy and platform model considerations, content distribution channel priorities......we've all been around the block. Financial drivers.
Maybe reconsider that you are on a company on a mission. You talk about it in your books, posts, mini-books and subsequent publications.
What I'm saying is not the the truth. I love the work you do. I'm contributing to you. And yes, your focus on your subscription model is "past-premised" and soon to be "eclipsed." 'Nuff said."
Just remember Blockbuster. Yes, and Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing's days (if not years) are numbered. Ha.
